Many of us have had to move away from our hometown over the years, whether for a new job or for family changes. I have vivid memories of my hometown of Spencerport, NY and its main street, small shops, and the banks of the Erie Canal.
Luckily I found a photographer online who captures my hometown and the surrounding area beautifully – AND he posts them online to share! This photo by Joe Pompili Photography captures the sunset over Spencerport during its annual Fireman’s Carnival.
I was able to save the photo and have used it as my computer desktop for years. If I ever get a little homesick, I visit his website – since sunsets and smiles never go out of style.
